NCPRI RTI Training at TOI’s “I Lead India” Campaign (www.rtiday.com)

Times of India in collaboration with NCPRI is going to run a nation-wide campaign on the Right to Information as part of their “I Lead India” campaign. The campaign will be from the October 12th to 25th. The official website for the campaign can be reached at www.rtiday.com.

As part of the campaign, a one-day RTI training will be held in the following cities between the October 18th and 24th: 

Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Patna, Bhuwaneshwar, Ranchi and Guwahati.

The Definition of information is given in Section 2-f,i, j of the RTI Act 2005. A citizen may apply for for information which is given by PIO in as attested photo copy.

If a citizen submits application and asks questions or gives proforma to furnish information. As per section 2-f,i, ,j this would be creation of information.

Please make it clear so that citizen may submit their application for information as attested photo copy only. they may not be advised to ask questions and information in their proforma.
